May 2021 – Monthly Meeting + Virtual Competition

On Wednesday, May 19, 18:15 PM, IPS is honored to host Leah  for a presentation of her accomplishments and body of work, followed by our monthly virtual photo competition (Theme: Black & White). Leah Herman (https://www.linkedin.com/in/leahherman/ ), a self-described “dedicated and hard-working digital imaging specialist with a passion for telling stories”, is an IPS “tested and approved” judge – she was our guest speaker and judge for the EIC Competition in January 2019.  Adopted from Bogota, Colombia, Leah always had a love for the for video and photography.  Starting at a young age, she had always wanted to want to create and produce art of expression.  Leah studied videography at Stevenson University and then decided to learn photography at Center for Digital Imaging Arts of Boston University in Washington, D.C.  Her work includes shooting photography or video for a variety of occasions including events, organizations, politics, and portraits.  Leah currently works for the U.S. House of Representatives where she captures current members of Congress on Capitol Hill and documents the events that take place during their time in Congress.
