Workshop Dates: February 20, 23, and 27, 2010.
The program is designed for photographers wishing to develop their skills in photographing architectural interiors and exteriors and night photography technique. The class size will be limited to 15 participants.
E. David Luria is a Washington DC-based photographer, specializing in architecture, events, art, still life, restaurant, commercial, and landmark photography since 1995. His images have appeared in over 100 publications, including TIME Magazine and the Washington Post. He is founder and director of the Washington Photo Safari (www.washingtonphotosafari.com).
Workshop Details
Session 1: Interior Architectural Photography: The Renwick Gallery
Saturday, February 20 at 2:30 – 5:00pm
This session will combine a talk on the techniques of interior architectural photography with a practical session, photographing the beautiful Renwick Gallery.
Session 2: Night-time Exterior Architectural Photography: Pennsylvania Avenue
Tuesday, February 23 at 5:45 – 8:00pm
A guided photo shoot to take night shots of Freedom Plaza, Pershing Park, the Willard Hotel and the Old Post Office at twilight.
Session 3: Interior and Exterior Photography: National Building Museum
Saturday, February 27 at 2:30 – 5:00 pm
An opportunity to photograph one of the most architecturally noteworthy buildings in Washington: the National Building Museum. We will photograph the exterior, interesting architectural details and the vast atrium, followed by a critique of images taken by participants.
